Dispositivo para rastreo de mascotas con la tecnología LoRaWAN

El enfoque clásico para identificar a los animales y los métodos de vigilancia, como las etiquetas aéreas, el GPS y la RFID, tienen sus desventajas al momento de proporcionar todo el nivel necesario de vigilancia y seguimiento de los animales de compañía, estos dispositivos tienen muchas limitaciones, además, son costosos. El desarrollo masivo en el área de Internet de las cosas (IOT) en las ciudades inteligentes se puede utilizar para proporcionar un control humano y la interacción con las mascotas mediante el uso de Internet de las cosas y sus tecnologías. En este artículo se diseña un sistema de localización y monitorización remota de mascotas para estudiar patrones de comportamiento y hábitos. Los datos recibidos por el sistema se almacenan en la base de datos en tiempo real para localizar a la mascota. Así, se han realizado experimentos y análisis de la ubicación de la mascota, mostrando patrones de movimiento en diversas áreas.
