Classic approaches to pet identification and surveillance methods, such as air tags, GPS, and RFID, have their drawbacks when it comes to providing the necessary level of surveillance and tracking for companion animals. These devices have many limitations and are expensive. The massive development in the area of the Internet of Things (IoT) in smart cities can be used to provide human-like control and interaction with pets through the use of the Internet of Things and its technologies. In this article, a remote pet tracking and location system is designed to study behavior patterns and habits. The data received by the system is stored in a database in real time to locate the pet. Thus, experiments and analysis of the pet's location have been conducted, showing movement patterns in various areas.
Keywords - LoRa WAN, pets, location system, IoT.
