This paper presents a proposal for reverse logistics strategies based on operational and logistical incentives for the use of residual plastics. For this purpose, it follows the analytical method in order to decompose the subject by parts and examine the study variables. Among the results, it shows an approximate generation of 545,960.84 tons of solid waste in the year 2022 and approximately 1,495.78 tons per day. From this, it was able to determine an approximate of the plastic waste generated corresponding to 179.54 tons of plastic waste produced in the parish Tarqui city of Guayaquil, Ecuador. Therefore, the implementation of a reverse logistics system is proposed based on offering incentives to promote community participation, establishing performance indicators to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the strategies implemented. In conclusion, the study allowed for a theoretical analysis of cases of reverse logistics application, the identification of solid and plastic waste produced, and the proposal of strategies for the use of this material.
